Overview
This is the personal portfolio of Rafał Mikucki, operating as Bigerjot Software. It does not use advertising, visitor profiling, session replay, or heatmaps. Google Analytics is optional and stays off unless you accept it.
The site processes only the technical data needed to serve pages securely and to provide its weather-adaptive experience.
Hosting and request data
Netlify hosts this site. Like other web hosts, Netlify receives technical request data such as your IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, and security metadata so it can deliver and protect the site.
Netlify may process this data outside the European Economic Area under its contractual transfer safeguards. Its precise infrastructure retention is controlled by Netlify.

Netlify derives an approximate location from the request IP. The weather endpoint uses city, country, timezone, latitude, and longitude. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before a server-side request is sent to Open-Meteo.
Open-Meteo receives those approximate coordinates and the Netlify server's network address, not your browser's IP address. Its free API logs may contain request coordinates and are deleted after 90 days.
The browser receives only city, country code, timezone, and current weather values. Coordinates are not returned, cached, or stored in browser storage. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo under CC BY 4.0.

If you accept analytics, this site loads Google Analytics 4. Google receives page paths without query strings or URL fragments, the page title, browser and device information, the IP address needed for the network request, approximate location Google derives from it, and limited events for résumé, contact, social, and project-link interactions. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Email addresses, phone numbers, precise coordinates, weather values, and project URLs are not included in analytics events.
Google Analytics may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>. This implementation limits their configured lifetime to 90 days and disables cookie-expiry refreshes. Google may process analytics data outside the EEA under its applicable transfer safeguards. The Analytics property should retain user-level data for the shortest available period.
Your analytics choice is stored in localStorage under portfolio.analytics-consent.v1 so the site does not ask again on every visit. This preference is strictly necessary for respecting your choice. No sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or service worker is used.
